5 lbs sugar
1/2 carton corn starch
9 cups water
1 lemon (juice)
1 cup walnuts
plenty of powdered sugar

Combine sugar, cornstarch and water and start cooking. After an hour of
stirring add the juice of one lemon and continue stirring for another hour
or so constantly.

To test if ready, put a little in a cup of water (like sharopee). If its
firm then its ready to pour into a pan that’s been sprinkled with powdered
sugar. The following day it will be ready to cut(with scissors) into small
squares & keep adding powdered sugar as needed.
