Cathy:
Planning a cruise visit to Rhodes Sept 17, 2010 (erev Yom Kippur) and would love to tour the Jewish Quarter and your museum and Synagogue. Are there any tours or someone we could hire to take us from the Oceania ship to see the area and learn more about the Jews of Rhodes. The ship is scheduled to be in port from 8:00am til 8:00pm. I am facinated by the possibility (as you can tell its 11 months away and I am thinking of it) and can’t think of a better day in the year to be with you and see your wonderful works, artifacts and Jewish committment. Thank you very much. From Cathy in California!!! PS Your web site and pictures are super.

Dr. David Geffen:
Dear Sir. I am working on a story for the Jerusalem Post which is woven around the Amato family of Rhodes, of Jerusalem, of Atlanta, of Washington D.C., of Mexico City.
I have 2 questions:
1. Is there any information about Jews who went from Rhodes to Palestine between 1900-1915?
2. How many Jews were there in Rhodes in 1900?
