from the “Who’s Going?” page: I will be in Rhodes, October 7 – 14, 2012 with my cousin Susan Amira-Weiss from Israel. My father, Raphael B. Hasson, son of Eliyahu & Sarota Benveniste-Hasson was born in Rhodes, January 31, 1920 and immigrated to Portland, Oregon in 1940…in 1942 moved to Seattle, Washington. My email address is:

Her grandfather and my great grandfather were brothers, and we’ve only recently connected through Facebook. My great grandfather was Morris Hanan from Rhodes.”

Paul and Michelle, I am from a family of Hanans. My uncle is actually named. Morris Hanan, living in Chicago (no doubt named after our ancestors). Please email me! I have created a family tree, perhaps you guys are on there.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Rhodes next July, 2012. We would like to attend the Rhodes Holocaust Memorial that takes place in July. My grandparents, Ruben and Mazaltov Hasson and Yithak and Sarota Israel were Rhodeslis. Yithak and Sarota emigrated to Seattle in 1919 with their family (my mother, Buena (Bona). Ruben and most of the family were taken to Auschwitz but my Father, Albert Hasson, emigrited to American in 1920. Marilyn Hasson Henry

My wife and I will be in Rhodes for our honeymoon from Sept 8-14. My grandfather was Sammy Notrica. I believe he owned a bank and a textile shop. His wife was Rachel Cori Notrica. We live in Baltimore, MD and New York City.
