“Who’s Going?” page: My son and I plan to be in Rhodes August 16-19. My late father was Yosef de Shemuel Halfon (his mother Diana Fintz), he left for Rhodesia c1937/8. This will be our first time in Rhodes and we would welcome meeting any Rhodeslis who might be visiting.

My mother Sarina Tarica was born in Rhodes as well as my Grandparents Behora(Rebecca)and Avraham Tarica and great grandparents. Sarina married David Lagnado. Will contact Aaron H. before we go.

My great aunt is called Amelie Tarica – she currently lives in Israel. My family and grand parents were from Rhodes as well. This is an amazing website.

My family is traveling to Rhodes on August 13-15th & plan to attend Friday night services with other families. My grandparents were born in Rhodes in the early 1900′s & I would like to find out information regarding my grandfather Nissim Tarica. He is believed to have been born around 1905, and left for the USA around the age of 15.

I was just curious because I know my family went from Rhodos to the Congo, and ultimately to South Afica. I am a mixture of three families, Israel, Capelouto and Franco. All from Rhodos. Maybe we are related.

My husband and I will be travelling to Rhodes from South Africa in June/July (29th-2nd) with our 3 children. We look forward to seeing the place my grandparents (Capelouto & Israel families) called ‘home’. We would like to meet with other descendents and anyone who shares the history – we are also very excited to see the museum that you have created.
