25th Anniversary of the Jewish Museum of Rhodes and the Rhodes Jewish Historical Foundation on September 26, 2022 at the Kahal Shalom Synagogue Courtyard, Old Town, Rhodes.
Recognition plaques were given to Sami Modiano, Isaac Habib, Carmen Cohen, and Bella Angel Restis for their vital contribution to preserving the Rhodes Jewish heritage.

Film Screening of “The Longest Journey” on April 14, 2013 at Tifereth Israel:
This documentary features the personal accounts of Stella Levi, Sami Modiano and Alberto Israel. It includes the contrast of the beauty of the island with the tragedy suffered by the Jewish community of Rhodes. The film was followed by a question and answer period with Stella Levi. This presentation was sponsored by the Rhodes Jewish Historical Foundation.

Aron, I’m always very happy when i see your continued additions to your website. Who knew that the internet would come to share all the history you have gathered since you started this venture. I remember when i was 18 and you 20, that you were tape recording interview with papoo (Joseph hasson) on cassette tapes. And then interviewing/taping cousins all around the United States when we made our US tour in your VW van in approx. 1972. Aron, this is very nice, love seeing all the photos. You should remind everyone about the cruise we are doing from Rome to Venice we will be in Rhodes on July 22nd, and expect to meet a lot of Rhodes decendents who will be there for the Holocaust Memorial 70 years. rae
