Her parents (my great grandparents)and her siblings all remained in Rhodes and presumably perished during World War II. Her parents (my great grandparents) were Samuel Israel and Rizula Cohen Israel. Do you have any records of Samuel Israel, Rizula Cohen Israel or their children (other than Hanula)? I know there were Galante families on Rhodes in the 1900's, but I can't find a reference to the stone tablet on the synagogue that seemed to be of the founding families.
